Christmas Beauty Wish List!

Hi Ladies and Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy Chanukah and everything in between! A little birdie gave me a fab idea (thanks Sabrina!) to make a few recommendations for holiday gift giving for the diva in your life (even if that diva is YOU!). So ... without further ado, here are my most favorite diva gift ideas.

For the Woman Who Has Everything Before It Even Seems To Be Available To the Rest of Us:

Smashbox Master Class Beauty Breakthroughs. A $175 value for only $59 at Sephora.com. What it contains is the latest lab sample releases from the fab company Smashbox that aren't even available to the public yet. You actually have to be a VIB Insider (which means you spend way too much money and time at Sephora). So ... if you need me to hook you up, just shoot me an email. And, yes, this product IS on it's way into my stocking. Specifically, you get the brand new Waterproof Eye Shadow palette. A total breakthrough in shadow. You get their new Brow Wax Pencil and Lash Detailer Mascara for precise application. My personal favorite is Poured Photo Op (a poured version of the best under-eye brightener and the new Creamy Cheek Stain, and the brand new O-Gloss Shimmer and we all know how much I love O-Glow.

And don't forget to add a few free stoking stuffers with the proper promo codes currently available!

When You Need To Use Up Your ADP/FSA Benefits Before They Expire on 12/31/09:

For those of you who didn't use all of your Flex-Spend money this year and are frantically going to the store buying them out of Tylenol, Theraflu and Band-Aids ... STOP! Did you know that acne products are reimbursable and it just so happens that Beauty.com is a bonafide FSA vendor? There are 11 Murad Acne products available on their website and you can input your ADP debit card information directly onto the website. In addition, their counterpart, Drugstore.com, has an entire "FSA Shop" where you can get tons of beauty products all on your ADP card! There are plenty of first-timer promo codes that give you up to $20 off. Don't forget to add just one thing from Beauty.com and you can get free samples too!!!

Anyone Know a Gold Digger?

Shame on you! That's not at all what I meant!!! :) If you know someone who just loves that holiday sparkle, you have to introduce them to pigments. Two of the very best holiday gift sets for this are Napoleon Perdis Gold Digger Glimmer, which you can use for eyes, cheeks, AND lips (and the box comes with instructions. The colors included are Gold, White Gold and Bronze. This value kit is currently $25 at Ulta.com and comes with a brush applicator (though you really should have more than one brush)!

Also, literally the best pigment out there is from MAC Cosmetics. Currently free shipping online, but it is sooooo much more fun to go play at the store. There are some great holiday sets, but your diva's favorite colors can be mixed and matched to create the perfect sparkly eye! The pigments are $19.50 each and can definitely be shared. They last FOREVER. I prefer the holiday pigment 5-packs for $32.50, but I haven't seen them online - just at Nordstrom. My favorite everyday shades for every skin tone are Chocolate Brown and Naked. Pure Gold is also amazing if you can find it because it really just adds major sparkle to any base color. For a smokier eye, you can mix Dark Soul with Chocolate Brown for the perfect grayish-brown shade. Love it!

Pair any of these with your favorite black liner and then Urban Decay's Glitter Liner on top for a super sexy holiday glam sparkle. The color Spandex is totally amazing. $18 at Sephora. You can also paint this Glitter liner on your lashes for extra fun. It's definitely not for everyday use, but great for holiday parties and a night out on the town - maybe Vegas Baby!

When Money Is No Object:

Get serious ... I'm not talking about the ridiculous Le Mer Legendary Luxury Creme for $1,390 at Neiman's nor the I-actually-totally-want-it-but-can't-exactly-admit-it $995 Perricone MD Ultimate Indulgence Kit (also at Neiman's), but I am still talking about a pricey gift for a girlfriend...

Given the current creative climate of color popping and the return to the 80s, one of my most favorite beauty products I am currently coveting is the Make Up For Ever Professional Aqua Eyes Collector Set.

It is a limited edition set of 25 full size eye pencils from the fabulous MUFE. They glide on super smooth and give you the opportunity to play with whatever outfit color you have one, without the ridiculousness of layers of yellow or blue shadow.

You don't have to be scared either! To mute the colors down a bit, you can layer a thin line over the top of a black or dark grey liner to give a more subtle look. The kit is a $425 value for $249 at Sephora. Also, if you like this idea, but money is an object, there are plenty of mini-kits from MUFE and Smashbox that also give you the basics - blacks, plums, silvers, greens and blues. They are just as fun!

For Anyone Suffering a True "Drought" Due to the Dryness of Winter:

Truly one of my most favorite products ever is Chanel Hydramax Moisture Boost Active Serum. It's $80 for an ounce at Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus; $112 for 1.7 ounces. It's worth every precious penny in the winter. It's essentially a phenomenal moisturizer that is so soft and silky that you can just put it on right over your makeup, whenever you start to feel dry, and it doesn't damage your look AT ALL! I personally think it is a very loving and chic gift to give that important woman in your life. The product is also a lovely Tiffany blue color and what diva doesn't love those two things: Chanel and Tiffany's?

Speaking of Tiffany's ...

Admit it. You want that little turquoise box with the white ribbon. Maybe you want the special red ribbon for Christmas, but you want it. It doesn't matter what's in it. Heck, I'd just take the box! Well, surprise your favorite professional diva girlfriend with a chic business card case. It's only $65 and it reminds that fav girlfriend in your life every day that she's precious and fancy in her own right. Sure, the case comes in black, red and pink, but really? Tiffany blue is the way to go!

A Little Luxury ...

I absolutely adore my new cashmere scarf from Banana Republic. It's the perfect length and feels so soft and creamy. You can wear it as a scarf, a wrap, or a shawl. It's $98, but with the current promo code BRGIVE20, you get 20% off, making this little bit of luxury a bit more affordable.

It comes in Black & Light Grey, Ivory & Bone, or solid colors Porcupine, Oatmeal or Charcoal Grey.
