Playing With Body Lotion and Getting Some "Peace of Mind".

Hello fellow beauty goers! May I just remind you how much I love Stila's Tinted Moisturizer? I haven't used it in awhile just because I've had so many fab samples to try! I used it today after a basic face wash with Estee Lauder's Perfectly Clean and a microexfoliant called The Ultimate Scrub that I bought at a spa one day. (Interestingly, this scrub is sold everywhere and several different companies put their logo on the front! The price ranges from $12.50 to $36!!! I paid $18 for mine) My face just looked and felt fabulous! Also, I finally tried my own personal set of Bare Minerals Basics and am in complete love! It itched a teeny tiny bit for a second, but that went away. I also felt like it really lasted all day. It's now going on my official must-have list. Thanks Michelle!

I tried the funnest little sample set last night! It's called Control Regimen by pH Advantage. While I will never buy the pricey products, it was the cutest little single packet set in a box. It included the Polybead Moisturizing Cleanser (which was a fabulous unscented micro-exfoliant), PM Vitamin Triple Complex restorative anti-oxidant treatment (creepy yellow substance like a primer and stinky), AM/PM 45% Hyaluronic Infusion to help improve the overall skin health (felt quite smooth) and Reparative Eye Complex (super sticky on the lids, but felt great on the under-eye). The products aren't sold at Sephora, but I enjoyed the entire series and my face felt smooth and soft for nighttime.

I also tried another lovely hand cream called Lippmann Collection Rich Girl. It is a cosmeceutical anti-aging hand and cuticle cream with SPF 25 and is available at Bath and Body Works for $24. It has a brightening complex to lighten age spots. I don't know that it did that, as I haven't experienced the age spots on my hands yet, but the cream was very, very bright white - like white out! It smelled very strong, but was a great scent to me. It was very soft and smooth too. I didn't like that it had a sheen/shiny glow to it. I prefer a more matte lotion. However, it did make the palms of my hands feel smooth, which has not happened in quite some time with all of the manual labor I have been doing.

A lovely little product for only $10 for 1/2 ounce is Origins Peace of Mind On the Spot Relief. It's touted as "Sensory Therapy" and, if you are a fan of spa aromatherapy, like I am, this is a great get away. When the world is closing in on you or your head feels a size too small, you dab three dots of this moisturizing cream on your fingertips and rub on your temples (closer to the hairline than your eyes), on the back of your neck, and your earlobes. Breathe deeply and in just 2 minutes, you've had a total recharge! The scent is phenomenal (like a peppermint and eucalyptus scent) and it tingles ever so slightly to help you recover from a small headache or just a feeling of agitation. A great product to keep in your desk at work!

I also tried a few body lotions. First was Philosophy's Amazing Grace. It was silky smooth and felt wonderful. It was a little too floral-scented for me, but definitely felt nice after a late night shower. In the morning, I tried DKNY Be Delicious. It was a much stronger scent (much more perfume-y), but also felt wonderful and was a nice scent change from my typical Estee Lauder's Beautiful.

Lastly, I also used Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadowliner in Bunny Hop. This is a gorgeous nude shadow pot that goes on just absolutely silky smooth. I don't tend to get eyeshadow creases, but I absolutely love the darling little pot with white doves and the way it felt was just fantastic. It didn't really give me any color, but I felt somehow my eyes looked softer having it on. I didn't use any color over it, I just enjoyed the silky smooth way it felt. It's $18 and will probably last forever. Bunny Hop is a pale pink and is a limited edition color.
