A Quick Way to Save $10 - Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

Now, I'm not advocating waxing your own eyebrows or your (ahem) delicate parts. However, there are some areas that don't require expensive attention. On a recommendation, I tried Sally Hansen Lavender Spa Body Wax Hair Removal Kit. I waxed my upper lip and chin and the little blonde hairs on my eyelid, being extra careful not to get any wax on my actual brow line (or eyelashes) - ouch! I was super scared, but Michelle promised me I could do it. We heated the wax in the microwave - just 20 to 30 seconds. It was sticky as super glue so be more careful to NOT get it on your hands. Cut the little strips, dip the wooden stick and wax on, wax off! Voila! Free $10 lip wax. Free interim eyebrow wax. Careful - it can get addicting. At only $8 for at least 20 or 30 waxes, it was great. You'll definitely need baby oil (when you run out of the oil in the package) in order to get the excess wax off your face.

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lavender Mint Conditioner: While this conditioner smelled absolutely fabulous, it did nothing positive for my hair. Also, the smell didn't last beyond the conditioning. So it wasn't a very fun sample.

However, I then used Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide serum before blowdrying. This was a terrific product. It took very little and didn't feel thick, heavy, or sticky at all. It was a clear liquid and made my hair quite soft. I wasn't sure if it would work because my hair isn't that frizzy or unruly. But I definitely enjoyed this product and the results.

Sorry I couldn't blog more tonight, but I couldn't use too many samples. I'm giving a presentation tomorrow and I don't want my face to break out on me or turn green or something. So, the products I chose were the Velocity cleanser, the Chanel night eye cream and the Chanel night moisturizer. I also used the DHC Q10 Lotion, just for extra kicks. Oh and, sadly, the Clarins Self Tanning Face Gel??? Not a fan. It didn't make my skin tan enough and it was gone in the morning. Anthony's Face Tanner Moisturizer for Men worked wayyyyyy better. Coming soon ... the serious mascara test!
