A Quick Shot of Beauty!

Hello Gorgeous! First off - thank you to all of you lovely divas who have been blogging with me, asking questions and giving me interesting skincare, makeup and haircare testing ideas! If you have questions or something you'd like me to address - just ask! I'm a bit under the weather which, believe it or not, resulted in some amazing sample testing. The reason is simple ... I engaged in 60-second morning makeup because I didn't feel like anything else and engaged in 60-second makeup removal, which was also a lovely experience. I have to say, for those of you who have not yet come to the dark side of taking your makeup off nightly ... YOU MUST! It is an absolutely wonderful gift to give to yourself that instantly destresses you and feels like you've just washed away the difficulties of the day. I highly recommend a night regimen.

So, I first have to tell you about the eye mask that I was so darn excited about I could previously hardly breathe! Sephora Power Hydrogel Eye Mask. One teeny tiny mask for $8, but you know how I feel about my dark circles and puffiness! The product states "the advanced hydrogel therapy redefines 'a fresh set of eyes'. You can't help but see its dramatic results - rested-looking eyes; relaxed eye contour; lighter, more toned eyelids; and a sensational stress free feeling." I mean - what could sound better? How about a true statement? Sorry ladies - it just promised wayyyyyy too much. When you peel it off its little pad, it kind of scares the hell out of you because it's majorly sticky. When you cover your eyes with it though, it gives an amazingly cool feeling and definitely delivers on the relaxation. But ... it's nothing a reusable lavender eye bag wouldn't do and probably more effectively. In the morning, I still looked tired and puffy. The reviews on Sephora were kind of mixed too. I do think it might be a good idea after a crying jag or jet lag. But, for everyday eye resting/puffy problems, it's not worth it.

Now, if you are a VIB insider, which means you spend way too much at Sephora, you can get a truly amazing product with promo code TRYCRU. It's about $35 worth of an amazing product - all for free. It is Caudalie Premier Cru Le Creme. At $150 for 1.7 ounces, you would hope it does what it promises. I just used it tonight to feel some semblance of relaxation, wellness, and shiny-pretty face. I got all of that. First I downed a couple of ounces of Theraflu. Then, I used my new Sephora toner to take away the tinted moisturizer I had on and my Sephora eye makeup remover pad because I used crappy mascara today. Lastly, I poured on the Caudalie. Soft. Smooth. Filled in the wrinkly parts. Great moisturizing. Sorry ... never gonna spend this much on such a small product. But ... I love the free sample!

And for a great sale - I tried Calvin Klein Endless Creme Concealer. Man oh man what a great product! It only comes in one shade right now at Sephora and that's for my fair skin. It's soft and silky and blends in immediately! A definite must have.Originally priced at $17, you can score it for $8.50. I've been looking for a great concealer and this is it!

However, lest you go thinking I am now a CK fan, um ... let's discuss Calvin Klein Runway Radiance Illuminating Cream in Golden Glow. First off ... there is "glow" and then there is god damn electrified gold! Seriously! My fingertips and forehead made me look like I was a freaking alien! This product is a total miss. I had to take it off, add moisturizer and primer, and start over. Even still I looked like a freak.... a shiny, golden freak! You have to either be a total fake tanner or 21 ... or both. Yuck.

Lastly ... I have been DYING to try Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment. I hadn't yet purchased it because I thought of it as basically a $22.50 chapstick, in my humble opinion. But, I love, love, love the Fresh Sugar products. I have to say that it feels great and soft. It gives a teeny tiny tint, but ... it comes off so quickly that it really is NOT worth the money. For $22.50, I think it should turn my lips the perfect pucker of red and stay on at least 4 hours. Plus, it should taste great, smell great and do the laundry. Oops ... that last part probably doesn't go!

I have more to report on, but a diva needs to get her beauty sleep, especially to keep herself well and properly running! More to come, particularly about the lemony love of Fresh Sugar.
