Yummy Cucumbers, Way Too Expensive Stinky Tanning Cream, and Big Giant Lips!!!

I can hardly wait to do a face peel this weekend, as I received a few new samples. I'll probably only try one, though, so my face doesn't burn off! I've been enjoying some of the better products that have become my favorites. But ... not to worry, I have a few new samples to report on!

Too Faced Caribbean In a Compact - Sun Bunny bronzer: This is a current free sample available on Sephora.com. I liked the way it felt, but the color wasn't that great. The Lorac TanTalizer Bronzer was much better.

While we are on the subject of tanners, I'm almost to the point of ceasing all other attempts beyond Anthony's. Tonight I tried Natura Bisse SPF Self Tanning Cream. While it went on smoothly and I have every confidence will provide a good color, it stunk like every other self-tanner and, therefore, does not beat my current fav.

I used one of my newer samples, also currently available at Sephora.com, Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and Soy Face Cream. I absolutely adore the way this smells. It's like a strong cucumber water from a spa and really took me back to some great experiences. The cleanser was "extra gentle", as promised, though I'm not so sure it "revived my eyelids," nor "conditioned my eyelids". I'd still enjoy having it around for the ocassional spa night - just for the scent. The moisturizer smelled equally fab and was good for night time because it was a bit thick. I wouldn't like it under primer. Too much for day.

I also used the Natura Bisse O2 Oxygen Cream. I have a few more of these samples and will continue to test them. So far, I'm happier with Philosophy's Divine Illumination. The Natura Bisse is kind of scary because it says it uses hydrogen peroxide deravitives to actively purify, clarify and decongest the skin to diminish impurities and clogged poors, brighten complexion and fade hyperpigmentation, and restore vitality to devitalized skin. Okay ... so maybe all of this can't be accomplished in one sample. But I like that I feel instant reaction from the Philosophy product. Again ... not giving up on this one though.

Lastly, as usualy, I thoroughly enjoyed the Chanel Precision Hydra Serum Vitamin Moisture Boost. I put it on under the Fresh Soy moisturizer. I'm going to use this again with the specific Chanel moisturizer that I like and see if it is truly necessary extra step. It's supposed to help maintain the ideal moisture balance. I think it would be perfect for a flight where your face is robbed of its moisture. I'm just not sure I need this pre-moisturizer step on a daily basis.

Lastly, I tried out the Bare Escentuals Buxom Lip Gloss. It was super soft, but not too sticky. Also, it tingled (like it is supposed to) but for HOURS! The tingling is the plumping sensation. I've never had a plumping lipstick last that long. I was very impressed. There are tons of beautiful colors, but I actually bought the full size right then and there in Sugar. I later found out this was the original rose/beige. Absolutely lovely and a great buy at only $18.
