You Scream I Scream, We All Scream for ... Chanel!!!

I can’t take it! I’m turning into a Chanel FREAK!!! I swear I am going to try every single product they make! Let’s start with the morning, however, and work our way to the night...

I tried the current sample available at Sephora – Boscia Vital Daily Moisture SPF 15. Eh. Not that exciting. Didn’t do anything for me and felt like a basic hand lotion really, instead of a moisturizer. Again, I’m not really a fan of the “organic” products. They just tend not to “do it” for me.

Per Gail's request, I tried the Lorac AquaPrime Oil Free Makeup Primer. Nope! Too slick and doesn't measure up to Prime Time. I put the rest of the sample in a little clear sample pot and gave it to Gaily to try. Now, it's up to her to give us a comment! Smashbox is way better than this one too.

Next came Lorac's TANtalizer Baked Bronzer, currently available for 100 Beauty Insider points at Sephora. Even though this product is organic :) I enjoyed the way it gave a bit of bronze/color to my skin. I definitely need a specific bronzer brush if I really want to do it right, but I liked it. It's got a very natural sheen to it and it isn't orangy at all.

Estee Lauder Hydra Bright SKin Tone Perfecting Moisturizer: This was super appealing to me because of the name (Hydra Bright) and I tend to really like Estee's products. I tried this one earlier in the week, thinking it would brighten my skin tone. It didn't really do that for me. It still felt nice on my skin, but it can't beat Chanel, even at a lesser cost.

Given that I did a micro-peel yesterday and my skin was feeling a little tight today (which I really attribute to my dissatisfaction with the Boscia moisturizer), I decided to try a more mild cleanser tonight. So, I went with DHC Cleansing Milk. I'm just not a fan of cleansers that don't foam. It felt way too soft. However, when I used toner (as you'll see below), there wasn't any makeup or color on the pad, so it must have taken off all the makeup. It's just not for me.

Since I didn't feel totally cleansed from the milk, I decided to try Chanel's Precision Lotion Purete Purifying Toner. It was a basic toner and I tend not to be a real fan because (1) I don't really get what it does for you and (2) I feel kind of sticky afterward. But, it's Chanel, after all. I let it try and it didn't bother me that much. I read up about toner later and discovered that its whole point is really just to remover excess traces of oil, dirt and makeup that your face wash/cleanser might have missed. Well - forgive me if this is a dumb question but, if it's a good cleanser, then you shouldn't need a toner, right? So I'll probably continue to skip this step.

But then I put on Chanel's Precision Age Delay Nuit Time Fighting Rejuvenation Night Cream. First off, it smells totally fabulous! It's got this amazing, soft fruit scent, but at the same time, also smells completely fresh and clean. It felt just as fabulous as the first Chanel Age Delay daytime lotion I used. I also used Chanel's Precision Rectificance Intense Eye Line Correcting Cream. WOW! Pop! Bang! Boom! My skin looked AMAZING! So soft and supple and colored just fabulously! No red, no blotchy and this was just a night time lotion! I’m still not sure about the eye correcting cream, but I’m trying it on my major lines and see how it does over time. I feel like my tender eye skin is really protected with this product and it’s totally not yucky-thick, which is my problem with most of these eye creams. Really. I can’t wait to try the other Chanel products. Every … single … one. Here’s what is kind of crazy too – I paid $0.78 for this sample of eye product. The .5 oz full size product is $75 at Bloomingdales. That means my sample, which is 0.08 ounces, is worth $12!!! I may just stick with buying samples. That way, I save tons of money and am totally prepared to travel. I’d say I have about another 4 to 6 uses out of this one sample packet!!! What a steal!
