Hands and Hair and Lips - Oh My!!!
It's official! The NARS Skin Lipid Support EFA Night Infusion is NOT worth the money. I tried it again and almost couldn't stand the smell on my face. It was worse than a bronzer with no tan! It just didn't do a thing for me. And, remember, it was $105 for less than an ounce!!!
And while we are on the subject of smell, I used the Mary Kay Satin Hands Lotion and, without my almond goodies, it smells like old lipstick. Yuck! I'd much rather have the CND Almond lotion since I don't think the Satin Hands adds much more than that. And, as you recall, I felt like licking my fingers all day with the almond one!
I also concentrated on my lips because, while I haven't used many products specifically for lips, I've started to try some. Tonight was Wei East China Herbal Lip Perfection. It felt like a pretty decent moisturizer, without all that glossy or thick chapstick feeling I don't like. Perfect for nighttime. It's only available on the HSN, though, so it will probably go in the "must miss" pile, even though it is currently sold out.
This one was interesting because I feel like I can tell the right skin type for it, even though it wasn't mine. IceCrystals by Freeze 24-7 Anti-Aging Prep and Polish Exfoliant. The microdermabrasion crystals were very fine, but the product felt like it also had a bit too much moisturizer in it for me. I had to wash and wash and wash to make it feel clean. I think it might be a great exfoliant, however, for a more mature face. Mom - this one's coming to you!
You know I'm a fan of Fekkai's Glossing Cream, but I had not yet tried Fekkai Glossing Shampoo. It had a really good feel to it, both in the shower and after blow drying. I liked that it really foamed too so I didn't have to use too much product. It definitely left a nice shine on my hair and, to be fair, I didn't use the Glossing Cream. At $23 for 8 ounces, however, I still prefer Kerastase.
As for checking out new products this weekend, I've been completely traumatized by the fact that the Sephora website has been "having a bad hair day" (read: technical difficulties) since Friday! They'd better have some awesome promos to repair the damage to my beauty addiction. I'll keep you posted!
